In 1962, when Hergé designed  Les Bijoux de la Castafiore , he was familiar with the Brussels production of Citroën and the craze for the 2 CV, the Belgian "deuche" of 1955. We know that it appeared in 1948 at the Salon de l' automobile de Paris, but fourteen years later, its appearance has changed a lot. The assistance of one of his collaborators, Roger Leloup, will be very valuable to him.

At the end of the 1950s, Roger drove an old 2 CV AZL. He will reproduce it with precision to assist Hergé.
